LCRC Releases Down-Ballot Recommendations

Loudoun County, VA - The Loudoun County Republican Committee has released its endorsements for the ballot on Election Day, Tuesday, November 8, 2016.

In addition to supporting Donald J. Trump and Michael R. Pence as the next President and Vice President of the United States, and returning Congresswoman Barbara Comstock to the U.S. House of Representatives, the LCRC urges a YES vote on both proposed amendments to the Virginia Constitution.

For voters who live in the Town of Leesburg, the LCRC has endorsed Kevin Wright for Leesburg Mayor, and the following candidates for Leesburg Town Council: Tom Dunn, Ken Reid, and John Hilton.

"The LCRC is pleased to support both proposed amendments to the Virginia Constitution," said Will Estrada, LCRC Chairman. Amendment One will enshrine in the Virginia Constitution that Virginia is a 'right to work state,' strengthening employers, workers, and our Virginia economy. Amendment Two will give localities the ability to waive property taxes for the families of those first responders who have made the ultimate sacrifice."

Will Estrada continued: "Additionally, we are proud to support our slate of fiscally-conservative legislators for the Town of Leesburg: Kevin Wright for Mayor, and Tom Dunn, Ken Reid, and John Hilton for Town Council. These men will serve their neighbors well in the Town of Leesburg government."
