Loudoun County Young Republicans Elect New Chairman
Leesburg, VA - At their regular meeting on June 17, 2010, Loudoun County Young Republicans unanimously elected Eve Marie Barner Gleason chairman of their club. Gleason will complete the one year term of resigning chairwoman, Lauren Quezada.
Gleason, a long-time local activist who has
served on the executive committee of the Loudoun County Republican
Committee praised outgoing chairwoman Quezada:
"Lauren has done an excellent job of re-invigorating the Loudoun YRs. I am pleased to build on her efforts, along with the rest of the club. We look forward to advancing Republican principles and working to elect Republican candidates in Loudoun and invite all like-minded young adults to join us."
Loudoun
County Republican Committee Chairman Mark Sell, who attended
the YR meeting, commented: "Gleason is a strong Republican leader
and will bring fresh energy to the club. I look forward to working
with her and her team."
Loudoun Young Republicans have regular social and business meetings in area restaurants. They are a chartered club of the Young Republican Federation of Virginia and can be found on Facebook.
